THE DESTINY UNIVERSE

Keep the game fun, fair, and the simulation speed high for everyone.

1. ROLES — PVP & PVE

There are three player roles: Nomad, Trader, and Pirate.

Everyone begins as a Nomad.

Players are expected to create or join a faction. All members of a faction must have the same Role and receive the protection of the Offline Shield.

Faction Size

  • A faction may have a maximum of 12 members.

NOMADS

Nomad is the default role.

  • Nomads must declare war and become ENEMIES before fighting other players outside an ANARCHY ZONE.

  • Nomads may immediately apply to change their role to Trader through Discord in #apply-for-roles.

  • Nomads must keep their weapons switched off unless they are:

    • inside their own territory, or

    • actively engaged in a permitted fight.

Claiming Territory

A Nomad may claim territory with a 10 km radius.

To claim territory:

  • Broadcast at maximum antenna range.

  • Use the [CLAIMED] tag on the broadcasting grid.

Entering another player's claimed territory without permission is considered an act of war. The territory owner may engage you and your grids.

TRADERS

Traders are a peaceful role focused on commerce and survival.

  • Traders cannot declare war.

  • Traders cannot attack or engage other players.

  • Traders may fight NPCs.

  • Traders may request one Safe Zone for their trade station, which they control.

  • For protection and identification, Traders should broadcast at maximum antenna range with the [TRADE] tag on every grid.

Trader Protection

Pirates may attack Traders, but only inside ANARCHY ZONES.

Traders cannot freely return to the Nomad role.

To become a Nomad again, a Trader must wipe all grids and all money.

 PIRATES

After 30 days, a faction may apply to become a Pirate faction through Discord in #apply-for-roles.

Pirate Entry Fee

Becoming a Pirate requires a one-time payment of:

1,000,000,000 Space Credits per faction member

This payment is donated to other players and grants the faction freedom from most galaxy rules.

Pirate Rules

  • Pirates are ENEMIES with all other Pirates and Nomads.

  • Pirates may attack Traders only inside ANARCHY ZONES.

  • Pirates may not attack Traders outside Anarchy Zones.

  • All Pirate-owned grids must broadcast at maximum antenna range at all times.

  • Every Pirate grid must use the [ROGUE] broadcast tag.

Pirates cannot freely return to the Nomad role.

To become a Nomad again, a Pirate faction must wipe all grids and all money.

2. HARMONY ZONES

HARMONY ZONES are entire planets, including their gravity wells, designed to provide a safe environment for new players.

Harmony Zone Rules

  • Pirates cannot enter Harmony Zones.

  • Pirates cannot own or operate grids inside Harmony Zones.

  • Lumera is a Harmony Zone.

3. ANARCHY ZONES

ANARCHY ZONES are areas where normal war-declaration rules do not apply.

Inside an Anarchy Zone:

  • Nomads may fight other Nomads without declaring war.

  • Nomads cannot attack Traders.

  • Pirates may attack Traders.

  • Pirates may fight within the zone without the normal restrictions of the galaxy.

The Red Whisper Sector is an Anarchy Zone.

4. WAR DECLARATIONS

Outside an Anarchy Zone, a Nomad must formally declare war before attacking another player.

War Procedure

  1. Post the war declaration in Discord under #war-declarations.

  2. A Nomad may declare one war per week.

  3. The declaration must be accepted by an Admin.

  4. War begins 24 hours after Admin approval.

  5. Once the war begins, the involved factions are officially considered ENEMIES.

Attacking a player before the war has officially begun is prohibited.

5. MAJOR OFFENCES — BAN

The following offences may result in a permanent ban.

Offline Grid Destruction

Destroying or hacking the grids of an offline player is prohibited.

Unauthorised PvP

Attacking or hacking anyone you are not ENEMIES with is prohibited.

Toxic Behaviour

The following may result in a ban:

  • Deliberately victimising another player.

  • Excessive or unjustified swearing.

  • Repeatedly behaving in a childish, abusive, or offensive manner.

  • Deliberately creating a hostile environment for other players.

Deliberate Sim-Speed Abuse

Repeatedly committing minor offences or deliberately using mechanics in a way that causes significant and unnecessary simulation-speed loss may result in a ban.

Medical Kit Takeovers

Using an open Medical Kit to take control of an ENEMY grid is prohibited.

6. MINOR OFFENCES — BLOCK DELETION

The following offences may result in the affected grids being deleted without warning.

Grid Persistence

A grid must:

  • Have a name.

  • Contain more than 21 blocks.

Grids that do not meet these requirements will not persist in the world.

Block Limits

Grids exceeding the server's BLOCKLIMITS will be deleted without warning.

Players can check their current limits in-game with:

!blocklimit mylimit

Subgridding

Using pistons, connectors, hinges, or similar mechanics to bypass block limits is considered SUBGRIDDING.

Subgridded constructions will be deleted without warning.

Build & Repair Units

A maximum of two Build & Repair Units may be used on a single grid.

Using three or more Build & Repair Units across separate grids to construct a single grid is considered SUBGRIDDING.

All grids involved may be deleted.

Inactive Players

After 40 days of inactivity, a player's grids will be moved to the Quantum Hangar.

After a further 120 days, the grids will be permanently deleted.
