THE HOLLOW REACH

A sprawling, resource-rich sector born from the debris of old worlds, defined by a chaotic maze of shifting gravity wells and hollowed-out asteroids. At its gravitational epicentre drifts Destiny Station, the monumental, free floating orbital citadel serving as the bustling hub for humanity's interstellar rebirth. Elsewhere in the sector's orbital grid lies Satreus, a separate, scorching world of baked crimson clay and light gravity where pioneering spawn crews harvest standard ores beneath ridges of blooming alien foliage. This sector acts as the ultimate starting territory for ambitious industrial teams looking to rebuild, though its lucrative shipping lanes remain highly contested by rival engineering factions.

AMMOS PLANET

    GPS:-=Ammos Planet=-(HR):-300422.25:-32958423.11:-17184158.50:#FFF1ED75:

Telemetry Scan: 0.25g gravity. Warm climate with a deceptively thin atmospheric envelope and critically low O₂ levels. The planet is marked by a distinctive ring system and a heavily cratered surface. Sparse alien tree lines and low-tier vegetation are strictly confined to the protected microclimates found within deep craters and lowland regions.

Engineering Note: The low gravity makes heavy cargo hauling relatively easy. However, do not let the greenery fool you the atmosphere is not breathable. Any worker venturing outside without a reliable oxygen supply risks rapid asphyxiation.

Log Entry: Probe #412 detected the distinctive glare of an abandoned drilling rig embedded beneath Ammos's southern ring-shadow. Records indicate that a prospecting crew once attempted to establish a combined timber and ore-mining camp within a lush crater basin. They severely underestimated the demands placed on their atmospheric scrubbers.

The thin atmosphere eventually overwhelmed the camp's life-support systems. The entire crew was lost mid-shift, leaving the abandoned facility and its untouched industrial grid as a silent monument to their miscalculation.

ENCELADUS MOON

   GPS:-=Enceladus Moon=-(HR):-105931.81:-32373269.76:-15923693.00:#FFF1ED75:

Telemetry Scan: 0.09g near-zero gravity. Orbiting Ammos within the central grid. The moon is composed almost entirely of ice and has no measurable atmosphere. Yet, despite the total vacuum, localised and highly volatile weather patterns are regularly detected across the surface. The physical mechanism responsible for these impossible storms remains unknown.

Engineering Note: High-value ores are exceptionally easy to recover here, as most deposits exist as exposed meteorite impact material scattered across the surface. Deep drilling is unnecessary. Bring a grinder, a magnet, and a sturdy cargo container.

Log Entry: The anomalous weather events are not merely dangerous they are lethal. A salvager crew recently targeted an iron-rich meteorite during a localised phenomenon classified as a "vacuum storm." Without warning, their vessel was struck by a dense stream of hyper-velocity ice crystals moving through the vacuum. The ship's structural joints were sheared apart within seconds. When the storm finally subsided, recovery drones located the crew's frozen suits still tethered to the half-harvested meteorite. No bodies were recovered. The meteorite remains.

ORLUNDA PLANET

  GPS:-=Orlunda Planet=-(HR):12514722.83:12514722.83:-4714126.21:#FFF1ED75:

Telemetry Scan: 1.12g heavy gravity. Known as the "Eyeball Planet", it is dominated by vast snowfields, with one permanent sun-facing region supporting a highly localised tropical biome. Extreme temperature variations occur across the surface. Contains a complete distribution of all known planetary ores.

Engineering Note: Extremely lucrative for mining due to its unrestricted ore variety. However, the 1.12g gravity places heavy demands on atmospheric craft and rapidly increases fuel consumption. Located near the strategic Wormhole Gamma jump point.

Log Entry: The tropical-to-ice transition zone is a graveyard. A mining vessel attempted to escape a sudden blizzard by flying toward the tropical region. The extreme thermal shock caused their thruster housings to fracture mid-flight, sending the vessel crashing into the mountain crags.

SATREUS PLANET

    GPS:-=Satreus Planet=-(HR):-3733708.09:-4628809.19:-578551.64:#FFF1ED75:

Telemetry Scan: 0.95g standard gravity. A scorched, arid desert dominated by massive ridges of baked crimson clay and sparse, hardy alien vegetation. High O₂ levels make the atmosphere fully breathable, but surface temperatures are extreme.

Engineering Note: The primary spawning ground for baseline industrial crews. While life-support systems are rarely required, cooling systems must operate at maximum capacity.

Log Entry: The heat is the silent killer. A prospecting team over-clocked their atmospheric intake vents to save power on their refinery grid. Within forty-eight hours, thermal radiation destroyed their main power cells, leaving them stranded among the crimson clay hills without communications or cooling.

Respawn Access: Planetary rover available from the Corrupted Station transporter.

TANTALUS PLANET

    GPS:-=Tantalus Planet=-(HR):-16192378.03:-5976674.26:-3557085.04:#FFF1ED75:

Telemetry Scan: 1.0g Earth-standard gravity. A barren, rugged landscape resembling Earth's Death Valley, dominated by vast canyon networks and sparse vegetation. The atmosphere is warm but contains dangerously low O₂ levels.

Engineering Note: Home to the critical defensive installation The Chavdar Black Market. The deep canyon systems provide excellent radar masking for military and logistical operations.

Log Entry: Survey teams frequently report strange acoustic illusions caused by wind shearing through the canyon walls. One prospecting convoy, low on oxygen, chased a false radar signature they believed was an atmospheric replenishment station. The convoy drove their heavy rovers straight over a canyon precipice.
