Dominated by an ancient, blinding Red Giant and saturated with heavy radiation, this sector operates as the primary core for harvesting vast quantities of hydrogen gas. It serves as the undisputed crossroads of the galaxy, defined by a chaotic intersection of high-traffic hyper-lanes that converge around Therno. Therno is a massive, barren, and deadly Red Giant of a world featuring very high gravity and a landscape carved into distinctive hills and valleys by geological shifts over the past millennia. While its core holds rare deposits of the solid hydrogen known to explorers thousands of years ago, strange new elements now persist within its depths. Operating as a pure anarchy zone, the region is highly treacherous; a creeping, psychological phenomenon known as the "Whisper" rides the radiation waves, inducing severe paranoia and madness that drives even the most loyal crews and former allies to turn on one another.

Telemetry Scan: A catastrophic red world with crushing 2.5g gravity. Its surface is carved into jagged hills and deep valleys by extreme geological activity. The atmosphere is oxygen-free and blindingly hot. Its core contains vast deposits of solid hydrogen and newly formed heavy elements. A massive, dark planetary ring system dims the glare of the Red Giant.

Engineering Note: Jetpacks are completely non-functional. The 2.5g gravity will immediately ground any engineer. Extreme radiation also carries the mysterious "Whisper", an unexplained audio distortion heard through suit communications.

Log Entry: Probe data recovered the logs of an elite corporate harvesting team extracting solid hydrogen. After three solar days, the constant Whisper convinced their chief engineer that his crew intended to abandon him. He sabotaged their escape craft before killing the rest of the team in the red valleys.

The ship remains stranded among the bones.
